Ron is looking for an experienced and committed owner who has some knowledge of handling a deaf dog. He needs to be the only pet in a home without children and he would like an owner who can spend most of their day with him. He needs a home that has direct access to its own private and secure garden where he can play freely. He will need to continue his training and would not suit a home is a busy area as he can become overwhelmed. Ron is an adorable boy who is very affectionate and loves getting cuddles. He has bags of energy so will need plenty of long walks, and would enjoy living with an active owner who would take him running or hillwalking. Being deaf means he has to stay on lead for safety when exercising, unless visiting a safe enclosed space like a freedom field. He loves running around in our large paddock area and enjoys chasing after a ball when he has the freedom to do this. Ron knows some sign language but needs to learn some more with the help of his new owners. He can pull on the lead and he is a strong boy, so this is also an area he needs to work on. He doesn't always understand what is wanted of him and can become overstimulated if there is too much going on around him. He can be a bit of a handful, so really needs a dedicated person who can commit to giving him a forever home, but he is sure to be a very rewarding pet for the right owner.
